It is a city of the sea, tourism and thermal waters, rich in monuments and churches, it’s located on the coast of the Sicily Channel between the mouth of the Platani and Belice river.
To the east rises Mount St Calogero 386 meters high, from which spring the famous thermal waters.
It is located opposite the island of Pantelleria and Tunis, halfway between the ruins of Selinunte, Eraclea Minoa and Agrigento.
